Hannah Esther (Yonkovich) Paliotte, 92, formerly of Monaca and New Sewickley Township, passed away Wednesday morning, October 15, 2014, at Friendship Ridge.Born in South Heights, she was a daughter of the late John and Frances (Zagar) Yonkovich. A graduate of Aliquippa High School, Class of 1940, Hannah was married to the late August ‘Gus’ Paliotte who passed away on September 24, 1989. She found employment at Rosalind Candy Castle in New Brighton where she worked for 40 years before retiring. An avid bowler who was a member of several different leagues, Hannah also enjoyed reading and crocheting, and she loved to sing. A former member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca, she was currently a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Conway.Hannah will be sadly missed by her three children, Bill Paliotte and his wife, Chris, of Chicago, Illinois; Carole Benko of Conway and Charlotte Kirk, and her husband, Russ, of Hopewell Township; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and a special niece, Fran Colafella and her husband, Nick, of Center Township.Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by five brothers, a sister and a son-in-law, Leonard Benko.Friends will be received Sunday from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where parting prayers will be held Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Conway, with Fr.
