Helen L. Lucic, 91, of Monaca, passed away Sunday morning, June 26, 2016.Born June 3, 1925, in Barnesboro, Cambria County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Mary (Motil) Korman. Helen was married to James Lucic for 67 years before his passing on July 14, 2013. During World War II she was employed at American Bridge and J&L Steel. Helen was a life member of Monaca Sportsman’s Club for 61 years. A kind-hearted and giving person, she loved the Steelers and wrestling.She leaves a son, James E. Lucic of Monaca; a daughter, Debbie Gerazounis and her husband, Dean, of New Brighton; five grandchildren, Michelle Uthoff, James C. (Jennifer) Lucic, David (Sonya) Lucic, Sheri (John) Lee and Ryan (Allie) Gerazounis; 12 great-grandchildren, Nathan and Kosmo Gerazounis, Bryson Swogger, Jayden, Jakob and Madison Uthoff, Caleb and Lily Lee, Aiden and Ethan Lucic, Josh Whitt, Tiffany Millirons; two great-great-grandchildren, Landon James Wells and Jamie Lucic; a brother, Bob (Joanne) Vicini of Derry; four dear nieces, Diane Whetstone, Kathy Baloga, Marylou Finley and Judy Goldsmith all of whom always kept in touch with her, along with her best friend, Pauline Bible, who took trips to Mountaineer Casino Racetrack and Resort with her.In addition to her husband and parents Helen was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph (Pat) Korman and two sisters, Martha (Kenneth) McKinley and Dorothy (Angelo) Cancelliere.As per Mrs. Lucic’s request, no visitation or services will be held.The family wishes to thank Helen’s hospice nurse, Joann, for the compassionate care she received.Arrangements have been entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
