Margaret Hartnett of Patterson Township passed away, early Tuesday morning, November 1, 2016.Margaret graduated from Monaca High School, Class of 1947. She was employed at Freedom Oil, Koppers Company and retired as personnel manager for BASF in Monaca.She enjoyed traveling, was a member of the 9-Hole Golf League at Blackhawk and Circle of Friends Senior Center in Baden, and was a volunteer for Beaver County Office on Aging.Margaret was a generous and caring aunt to niece, Christine (Carl) Bluedorn and nephews, Gerald (Terri) Gumpf, Gerald (Baily) Hartnett and Kevin (Gwen) Hartnett. Also, a very special ‘Aunt Marker’ to great-nieces and great-nephews, Courtney and Chelsea Gumpf, Melissa (Jeremy) Womer, Jeff Bluedorn, and Matthew, Jamie, Tommy and Daniel Hartnett.She was preceded in death by her parents, Jeremiah and Joan Hartnett; a sister, Nancy; a brother, Robert, and a sister-in-law, Betty Hartnett.Margaret is survived by a sister, Dorothy Gumpf, and a brother, Donald Hartnett.As per her request, there will be no viewing. A private interment will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Monaca.
