Ada J. Grimm Whittingham, 77, a longtime resident of Brighton Township, went home to be with the Lord, on Wednesday, April 21, 2010, following a four year battle with breast cancer.
Ada was born in Midland on March 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (McGee) Mong. She was a lady of steadfast faith and had a compassion for animals. Ada was a homemaker and a graduate of Midland High School.
She leaves four children, Eugene Grimm, Beaver Falls, Craig (Pam) Grimm, Vanport, Blaine Grimm, Vanport, and Corinne (David Quinn) Grimm, East Liverpool, OH; five grandchildren, Daniel, Chelsea, Sheri, Ethan and Alex Grimm, and a brother-in-law, Jack Seevers, East Liverpool, OH.
She was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law, Jenny Grimm, and four siblings, Alford Louis Mong, Loretta Mushnock, Edna Mae Seevers and George Francis Mong.
Friends will be received Saturday April 24, 2010 from 11 a.m. until the time of a Memorial service at noon in the Monacrest Free Methodist Church, corner of Elmira and Walnut Sts., Monaca. The Rev. Steve Husky of Calcutta, OH will officiate.
