rake away any leaves and flmebalas and then lay a trash can lid metal or a sheet pan on the ground now set a two layer level of char coal on the lid and add any flamable like starter or gas or kerosene light it after it burns down to coals drag it back and use a mattock or pickaxe to loosen the soil and then spade or shovel it back then replace the lid or the panrepete over and over til the depth is reached you could use wood from palletes and rake the wood back and forth or let the fire bun out almost completely then remove the coals then dig and then replace coals but thats only two ideas pouring hot water on the ground over and over from pots or pans my work or use the garden hose hooked to the faucet in the kitchen for hot or chop the soil into chunks with axes then remove with a shovel or if you have acess to dynamite ot plastic explosive nah thats an army way we used ,,

Our prayers are with you Henry, and your family. We pray that good memories will help you through this difficult time. "Mom" is free of confusion and is with "Dad" looking down with pride on their family. Moe and I extend our heartfelt sympathies.

I remember your mom making pies with the apples from the tree in your yard. She made them to put in the freezer and all she had to do when she wanted to bake a pie was pull it out and bake it. She was a good neighbor. Our prayers are with you at this time. Tom and Janice Horner
