Alex Kaminsky, 93 formerly of Rochester and more recently of Blair Personal Care Home passed away Thursday, March 1, 2012.
Born May 13, 1918, in Zelienople, he was a son of the late Alex and Anna Kaminsky. Alex worked in the coal mines in West Virginia prior to returning to this area where he was employed as a crane hook technician with PBI. Alex had a great love of animals.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina; a daughter, Janice Baden and two brothers, Ed and Joe.
He leaves a son, Edward Kaminsky of Monaca; two granddaughters, April (Ed) Davis of Franklin Twp. and Jennifer Kaminsky of Monaca; five great-grandchildren, Brian, Jacob, Michael, Jason and Justice. He also leaves a longtime companion, Millie Shouse and his extended family at Blair Personal Care Home where he brought joy into their lives.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the time of service at noon in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Service, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Interment will follow in Wyatt Cemetery, Wyatt, WV.
