Ann Marie (Bischak) Marchione, 80 of Monaca, a wonderful wife and mother passed away unexpectedly on Friday evening May 7,2021 at her residence.
A lifelong of Monaca, Ann was one of thirteen children born to the late John and Louise Ann (Montaque) Bischak.
She was united in marriage to Anthony P. Marchione on July 23, 1960 and would have celebrated 61 years of marriage this July. The couple had four children: Anthony (Lori) Marchione, John (Amy) Marchione, Christina Gallagher and Marianne Garlitz (Leo). Eight grandchildren whom she adored: Nicole, Matt, Beth, Jimmy Evans, Jimmy Gallagher, Ryan, Michelle and Jacob. Five great grandchildren: Carson, McKenna, Charlie, Eli and Emily. Ann outlived most of her siblings with three surviving her: Nancy (the late Lex) Byers in California, Sarah (Lowell) Thompson in Ohio and Frank (Helen) Bischak of Economy. She was also survived by two sisters in law: Mary Marchione and Annie Rehm.
Ann immersed herself in the community as a long time and active member of the Monaca American Legion Post #580 Ladies Auxiliary where she had previously served in a variety of offices over the years. She committed many years of her life marching in numerous parades as part of the auxiliary, selling candy bars as fund raisers and supplying bake goods for Legion activities. She was particularly known for her apple pies. Ann was also a member of St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca and the Christian Mothers. In her younger years, Ann coached gymnastics at the former Sokol Club, Monaca and worked as a waitress at the former Isaly’s and Little Echo Restaurants, both in Monaca. She later was employed as a waitress at Kings Restaurant, Center Township. One of her favorite past times was playing bingo at the Monaca Turners.
In addition to her parents, Ann was preceded in death by her siblings: William, Mary, John (Grace), Robert (Ree), Pauline, James, George and Mike (Alice) Bischak and Emily (Mick) Fetkovich.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend her mass of Christian burial on Thursday, May 13 th at 11 am in St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Burial will follow in the parish cemetery.
Rather than flowers, the family has requested memorial contributions in Ann’s name to made to either the Beaver County Heart Association, 3582 Brodhead Road, Suite # 201, Monaca, PA 15061 or a veteran’s related charity.
