Anna Maria Folmar, 55, of Conway, entered her Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 5, 2015.Born November 9, 1959, in Rochester, she was a daughter of Carmela DiBacco Battaglini of Monaca and the late Antonio Battaglini. A graduate of Monaca High School, Class of 1978, Anna Maria continued her education at Robert Morris University, receiving an associate degree in business administration. She was united in marriage to the love of her life, David L. Folmar, and together they shared 33 years of wedded bliss. Anna Maria was currently employed as an administrative assistant at Freedom Area School District. A faithful member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Conway, she previously sang in the church choir and served on the decorating committee.Her passion and love of children led her to be a founding member of the Freedom Cares Foundation which provides funding for the arts and athletics programs for Freedom area students and also awards annual scholarships. Not one to sit idly by, she also mentored students in the school’s drama club and band, imparting her love of the arts to hundreds of students. Every year she used her artistic talents to make the homecoming festival a special event. She was a team sponsor in Freedom’s Relay for Life this year and was looking forward to participating again next year. Anna Maria will always be remembered for her hard work and dedication to helping people young and old. In addition to her beloved mother and adoring husband, she leaves to mourn her loss her treasured son, Jason Folmar and his wife, Katie of Edgewood; a sister, Amy Petrosky and her husband, Tim, of Litltz; two nieces, Ashley and Elizabeth Petrosky and a nephew, Nicholas Petrosky. She will also be deeply missed by two special aunts, Maria Trella of Monaca and Rita DiBacco of Center Township.In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Marco and Anna Battaglini, and Emilio and Trieste DiBacco.Friends will be received Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where parting prayers will be offered Monday at 9:15 a.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace, 1000 3rd Ave, Conway. Fr.
