Anna Mary (Canning) Brown, 89 of Monaca, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2020 at Concordia at Villa St. Joseph.
Born in Aliquippa, Anna was the daughter of the late Joseph and Bertha (Hamilton) Canning. A career registered nurse with a passion to help others, Anna acted on numerous occasions as an advocate for individuals needing medications. While living in Florida, she once testified before the Florida Legislature for a medical care concern that she deeply cared about. Anna enjoyed painting and loved the beach. She also loved to sing and was a member of the Sweet Adeline’s both here and in Florida. Anna greatly loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard L. Brown and a son, Robert Brown.
She will be sadly missed by her son and daughter in law, Lenny and Judy Brown, her grandchildren, Deanna (Craig) Arnott, Amy (Rhyan) Noss, Chris (Andrea) Brown, and Melissa (John) Costello, her great grandchildren, Caleb, Lukas, Jaxon, Aiden, Gage, and Zoey, her siblings, Bud Canning, Patty (Dennis) Minder, Loretta Graham, Dee Dee Hecton, and Ed Canning.
Per Anna’s wishes there will be no viewing or services.
Arrangements were entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
