Anne Castronovo, 88, of Monaca, passed away peacefully, on Wednesday morning, May 20, 2015. Anne was born in Midland, PA on October 8, 1926. She moved to Monaca in 1949 after her marriage to Peter Castronovo, who preceded her in death in November 2009. Anne was an amazing homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and enjoyed cooking and sewing. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Peter; mother and father, Michael and Rose Svatek; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Caterina Castronovo; her brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Florence Swatek; in-laws, Sam and Josephine Zottola, Clarence Kelley and Clara Castronovo; her nephew, John Zottola and niece Erma Zottola.Anne will be sadly missed by her children, Pete, John Michael, Rosanne Robinson (Stephen), and Anthony; her in-laws, Sam and Mary Castronovo and Frances Kelley; her grandchildren, Leanne Condron (Rob), Alan Weber (Joanna), Suzanne Weber, Camille and Corinne Castronovo, Stefanie Buss (Ron) and Michael Castronovo (April) and her great-grandchildren, Aidan, Declan, Delanie, Sylvia, Peter and Gianna, along with nieces and nephew, Denise, Michelle, Lisa, Patrick, Cathy Jo, Mary Ellen, Catherine and Samantha. The family wishes to thank the nurses and aides of Good Samaritan Hospice for their help, care and guidance, especially Barb, Lynn and Jamie and Amanda, who go to work for God, each and every day. Anne was a member of St. John the Baptist parish in Monaca. Visitation will be held on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where Rev.
