Anthony ?Tony Dee? DeVincentis, 80, of Monaca, passed away Friday, August 24, 2012, at Friendship Ridge, Beaver.
Born Nov. 19, 1931, in Monaca, he was a son of the late Flavio and Modesta (Cenci) DeVincentis.
Professional known as ?Tony Dee?, he was a local celebrity who was a soloist and saxophonist who sang Dean Martin and Tony Bennett songs among others. He performed throughout Southwestern Pennsylvania and on television and recorded several records and CDs. Tony also worked at the former New Brighton Hospital in the radiology department?s film processing darkroom
He was a member of the S.O.I. and P.N.A., both in Monaca. He was Catholic by faith.
In addition to his parents, Tony was preceded in death by his wife, Helen A. Pokraich DeVincentis who passed away on June 14, 2006.
He leaves a step daughter, Bonnie Schuller of Freedom; a sister, Jackie Harris and her husband, Dale of New Brighton and a brother, Larry DeVincentis and his wife, Barb of Monaca. Several nephews and nieces: Mike Pauvlinch, Pat Pauvlinch, Larry Dean DeVincentis, Terese Borghi, Tracy Schultz and Kristen Essey and their extended families.
Friends will be received Tuesday, August 28th, from 6 to 9 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, where a blessing service will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Reverend Father Michael Ruffalo officiating. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery.
