Anthony R. Marcello, 85, of Monaca, owner of the former Marcello Block Co., passed away Saturday, December 24, 2016.He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Anna, a son, Anthony, a granddaughter, Rachelle (David) Hile; three great-grandchildren, Alexis, Brett and Jordan and four siblings, Harry Marcello of Monaca, Joseph (Erma) Marcello of Center Twp., Kathy (Bill) Milne of Monaca and Ginger (Bill) Rayz of New Brighton.As per Tony’s request, all services were private and entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.

I am sorry to learn of Mr. Marcello passing away. I will remember him as a hardworking man and devoted parent. I remember on more than one occassion when Mrs. Marcello would send young Tony and me over to the block plant to tell Mr. Marcello to come home because she hsd asked young Tony and me if we would like to go to Hank's for tacos or custards. I do not remember if Mrs. Marcello had a driver's license or not. Mr. Marcello, no matter how tired he appeared, would walk back with us to the house or only moments later and would get cleaned up and changed and then off to Hank's we would all go. My condolences to you Mrs. Marcello, Tony and the rest of your family. May found memories help lighten your sorrow.
