Arthur F. Larizza, 87, a lifelong resident of Monaca, entered Heaven on Tuesday morning, June 7, 2016.Born November 14, 1928, he was a son of the late Bruno and Palma (Campese) Larizza. Art was employed for the majority of his working career as a mail carrier out of Monaca from where he retired. A faithful member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca, he previously sang in the parish choir. Art, who had a passion for fishing made numerous trips to Canada with his good friend, Werner Agner. He also fished at Lake Arthur at Moraine State Park, Pymatuning Lake and Tamarack Lake in Meadville. Art enjoyed golfing, bowling at the church hall and was a member of a couple’s bowling league at Monaca Turners. He was a US Army war veteran.He is survived by a brother, August Larizza of Monaca; two sisters, Bernice Sego of New Galilee and Stella Szakelyhidi of Harmony, along with many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.In addition to his parents he was preceded by his sister, Theresa Buccione, on July 11, 2006.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca where parting prayers will be offered Saturday at 12:30 p.m. followed by a mass of Christian burial at 1 p.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. Fr.
