August \”Sonny\” \”Mac the Clocker\” Roberto, 78, died peacefully on Wednesday, December 22, 2010, at Rochester Manor.
Born December 3, 1932, in North Rochester, he was the son of the late Frank and Theresa (DeLuca) Roberto. Mac retired as an assistant to the jockeys at Waterford Park, WV, and served in the Korean War.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two sisters, Jenny (Chester) Dixon and Louise (Joe) Kaminsky, and two brothers, Bruno Roberto and a baby brother, Anthony.
Surviving are his loving sister, Antoinette ‘Dolly’ (Sam) Treantafellow, of Monaca; a sister-in-law, Norma Roberto, of North Rochester; several nieces, nephews and cousins, and a great-niece, Makala Treantafellow and a special little girl.
At the request of Mr. Roberto, there will be no visitation or services.
Interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
