Barbara J. Hostetter, 69 of Monaca entered her Heavenly Home peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in the company of her daughter Mary.
A daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Cassity of Dayton, Ohio, Barbara was a resident of Beaver County since 1978. She first resided in Rochester and then moved to Monaca in 2016. Barbara was well known as a cook at the former Chips Lounge in Monaca as well as Uncle Chuck’s in Rochester. She loved reading and collecting antiques of all kinds. She also loved camping and traveling. Barbara was very fond of all animals. Above all else, Barbara loved to cook. Her cooking is notorious throughout the area and with friends and family.
Barbara will be sadly missed by her daughter, Mary Catherine Cassity-Dittman of Rochester, a son, David Lee Edward Cassity of Beaver Falls, four grandchildren; Donald Cassity and fiancé JoEllen of Rochester, Collin Young of Monaca, Aric Young of Beaver and Ayden Cassity of New Brighton, two brothers, William “Billy” Cassity and Charles William Cassity, both of Dayton, Ohio, a first cousin, Gloria Cook of Catlettsburg, Kentucky, a sister-in-law, Susan Eaton of Beaver and a niece Jodean Tucker of Beaver Falls, as well as her Life Long Friends, Patrick “Monty” Montgomery and his wife Mari of East Palestine, Ohio.
Per Barbara’s wishes, no services will be held.
Memorial contributions may be made in Barbara’s memory to the Beaver County Humane Society, 3394 Brodhead Road, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
Arrangements were entrusted to Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
