Barry Felix, 53 of Hopewell Township, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, April 27, 2020 after a long battle with heart disease.
Barry was the son of Marietta A. (Meany) Felix Schriner of Hopewell Township, and the late Norbert A. Felix. Following graduation in 1984 from Hopewell High School, Barry was first employed with McDonald’s, then as a production manager for the former Aliquippa News, and as a fueler with MSAA at Pittsburgh International Airport and lastly at Anchor Hocking. He was a former Hopewell Township Volunteer fireman and a NASCAR enthusiast. Barry enjoyed photography and was a photographer for the former Strike Three Band and was an administrator for Hopewell Connect on Facebook.
He will be sadly missed by his mother, Marietta Schriner, a step brother, Keith Schriner, his uncles, Fred Meany, Jr., Paul (Charlene) Schriner, and Bob (Lynn) Schriner, his aunts, Suzanne Schriner, and Barbara Schriner, many cousins and friends, and his best buddies which were his dog, Gabby, and his cats, Miss Kitty and Turd Bird.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step father, Lyle Schriner, his maternal grandparents, Fred and Grace Meany, Sr., his paternal grandparents, Robert and Carmen Felix, and Leslie and Helen Schriner.
A private family viewing and service will be held at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca with the Reverend Keith Black officiating. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Monaca.
