Beatrice B. Caplinger

Beatrice B. (Howells) Caplinger, 85, formerly of Center Township was reunited with her late husband Kenneth and  is now in the presence of God Almighty. Her passing occurred on Saturday,  February 10, 2018 in Florida where she was residing with her daughter. .Born on November 14, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Henry M and Dora M. Howells and  was a 1950 graduate of Monaca High School.  Beatrice was involved in child care her whole life, bothas a mother of seven children and later as a day care provider. For years, she cared for children in their homes while living in Center Township. In 1998, she moved in with her daughter, Lori in New Jersey  where they owned and operated a day care center and later to Florida where they did the same.   She is a valued member of the River of Life Church in Florida and a former member of the Church of Living Christ in Bridgewater.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; a brother, William Howells and two sisters, Juanita Howells and Dorothy Roberts.Beatrice leaves seven children, Sherry Murphy, Ken (Sherry) Caplinger, William Caplinger (Bev Crowl), Michael (Penny) Caplinger, Jeffrey (Sylvia) Caplinger, Timothy (Terry) Caplinger, Lori Caplinger (Robert Leeds) and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She also leaves  a sister, Dolly Elizabeth Shanoltz, a brother, Reverend Henry M. (Shirley) Howells and  numerous nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm and  Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. at the Church of the Living Christ, 699 Riverside Drive, Bridgewater with her nephew, Reverend David Howells and brother, Reverend Henry Howells, co officiating.Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery, Freedom.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Beatrice’s memory to the Church of the Living Christ, 699 Riverside Drive, Beaver, PA 15009.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
