Bertha Lenora (DeFelice) Moakley, 89, of Center Twp. passed away peacefully in the arms of her daughter and was reunited with her beloved son, Danny on Sunday, November 14, 2021.
Bertha was the daughter of the late Joseph DeFelice and Mary Colona. She was devoted to her husband, children, sisters, brother and canine companions. She was an avid reader, enjoyed the culinary arts, shopping, going out to dinner and spending time with her sisters and brother. She loved children and was formerly employed by Head Start/Kiddie Corner Day Care in Beaver, as well as being a foster grandparent. Bertha also had a soft spot in her heart for animals, particularly Dachshunds.
She will be sadly missed by her husband Stephen Moakley, her daughters Linda Marie (Allan) McCoy of Monaca, Kelly Ann Mackovjak of Ohio, her sisters, Janet (late Frank) Parker, Anita (Donald) Re and a brother, John (late Shirley) DeFelice, as well as her grandchildren: Denise Marie, Shannon, Jeffrey Alan and Tami Rose and six great grandchildren. Four step-children: Lila, Peggy, Sharon, & Stephen, her Dachshund, Spencer and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Daniel A. Buccini, Sr. and George Robert Martin, a son, Daniel Anthony Buccini, Jr. and step-daughter, Marsha.
A private family viewing and blessing service was held at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services,.1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. She was laid to rest beside her son, Danny in St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery, Monaca.
