My family and I met Mr. Miner by living next door to him. I can remember going out to lunch with him and my own grandpa and listening to him tell us little stories about his life. When asked if what he liked to do once I can remember him replying that he sits on his porch and he talks to his cat and he talks to the Lord. I can only imagine that they are having great conversations now.

When I think of Uncle Wayne, I think of a soft spoken, gentle man that had a genuine interest in serving others. He had a unique strength of speaking to you as if you were the only person in the world. He would immediately focus on a topic of mutual interest making you feel at ease. He displayed a true sense of family with his siblings and their children...perhaps that is why my parents, Harold and Emma, named their two youngest children: Donald Wayne and Carol Sue. He was such a kind and compassionate person, he will always be remembered with love.

He was a very special person. The ladies from Monaca Methodist church will surely miss him. I was going to call him today to remind him it was food pantry day. Rest in peace dear friend.
