I served with Carol in the ER at Camp Pendleton. She was a wonderful Navy Nurse. She was so real and loving . One night on duty a toddler died of croup. I saw her tears. I gave her a Bible. So sad to just now fond out of her passing

I just read in a Christmas card from a mutual friend that Carol had died - no details. I feel such a sadness; we worked together in PACU and OR for many years. She was an excellent nurse but she struggled with many aspects of her life. I hope you've found peace and rest, Carol.

I first met Carol when I was 14. My stepmother lived next door to her. When I visited my dad, I would spend hours with Carol and her cats. She taught me about cooking and baking. She was always making something to take into work. I will cherish those times together. Carol was like a sister to me and I like a sister she did not have. Have all brothers. I loved you and will always have a place for you in my heart. Wendy

I grew up on Front Street in Monaca and live on Childs Ave, just a few blocks from where I grew up. Carol became a childhood friend when she would visit her grandparents. We used to sleep out on their front porch. I lost touch with Carol years ago. I am also a nurse and I did not know that Carol served in Vietnam. I will always remember the fun we had, if not for just a brief time. My sympathies to her parents and her entire family. May Carol rest in peace.
