Carol Jean ‘Jeanie’ Golixer, 79 of West Aliquippa was called Home on Monday, May 20, 2019 at Brighton Rehab and Wellness Center surrounded by her loving family.

Jeanie graduated from Ambridge High School Class of 1958 and was united in marriage to Joseph S. Golixer on June 27, 1964 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church.  A homemaker and of the Catholic Faith, she was a member of the former of St. Joseph Catholic Church in West Aliquippa.  Jeannie loved to read and to travel the East Coast from Canada to Florida.

She will be sadly missed by her husband of 55 years, Joseph Stephen Golixer, a daughter Collette Marie Golixer of West Aliquippa, a son Michael Golixer of New Brighton, three grandchildren; Stephen Golixer, Bailey and Malerie Maybray, a brother, David (Vera) Tedys, and a sister, Becky (Paul) Strano.

In addition to her parents, Carl and Ann (Jurczak) Tedys,  she was preceded in death by four siblings; Delores, Steffie, Sally and an infant sister Mary Jane.

Friends will be received on Sunday, May 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca followed by a service at 8:00 pm with her brother in law, the Reverend Paul Strano officiating.   Interment will be on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
