Janice Olshanski Stovka left a message on October 5, 2009:
Dear Family, I was extremely saddened to hear of your Mother's passing. My father, Joseph Olszanski (Olshanski), is your Mom's first cousin. He is the oldest child in the family of Anthony and Mary Olszanski, Martin's brother. My Dad is now 92. I am upset that I did not know your dear Mother had passed away. I remember her fondly from my childhood; Laddie was Godfather to my sister. Your parents were always kind and I remember them always laughing. I also remember the reunion we had, about 1980, where your Mom was thoughtful enough to give us some pictures of another reunion, held in 1952! Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. God bless, Janice Olshanski Stovka

Dear Mark, Gina, Tyler, and I send our deepest sympathies on the loss of your mom. I know that while she lived a full life, it is never easy when the time comes for those of us left here to say goodbye to a parent. Be a strong support for your family and reflect on all your wonderful experiences with her and it becomes a little more bearable. Take care and know that if you need anything, you can always call me. Your friend, Mark Valdez

Grandma Caroline was a very special lady. She treated my sisters and me like her own grandchildren, and never made us feel like we didn't belong. We had a lot of good visits when she and Laddie came to Tampa. It's sad to say good bye to my last grandmother. I am sorry for Mark and his brothers and sister. They had a really good mom.

Babcia, Although you are no longer with us, your beautiful heart and infectious smile will remain in our minds forever. Even though we weren't related by blood, you never treated us any different and for that we were blessed. We always enjoyed your visits to Tampa and have many fond memories that we intend to pass on to future generations. Know that you will be missed by all those who knew you(and HAD to love you-that's just the kind of effect you had on people) Love your grandkids in Tampa, William,Melanie,Jensen and Jace

To all the Karczewskis, My heart grieves with you at the passing of your wonderful mother. What a great lady she was--so sweet, so charming and always laughing. 0She created a home that was warm, welcoming and full of goodies, like her apple pies. I know that in each of you, Mark, Walt, Tom and Ann, her legacy will live on. How blessed you all were to have been raised by Caroline. She was the best mother-in-law a girl could have and my sister Franny was lucky to be a part of the Karczewski clan. As Scriputre says, "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." So may your mother bask in the glory of the Lord while you take comfort in knowing that you will see her one day in heaven. God bless you all. Rosalyn Barco Silva

On Saturday I have a baseball game and hope that you see me play. Go Steelers. With love from Jack D. Rodriguez, your great grandson in Tampa, Florida.

Mrs. Kelli Karsen left a message on October 1, 2009:
Grandma Caroline I will always have fond memories of you and your place on the river. You were always so kind and welcomed me right into the family. I am also grateful that you taught your favorite Grandson Kirk how to make your famous spagetti and meatballs. My heart knows you're at peace in a better place, however I still mourn the loss of a "Bupsha" today. Just know that when we get together as a family there will always be more laughter and funny memories than sadness and tears, would you expect anything less from those crazy kids you somehow raised. I love you, Kelli Farquhar Karsen
