Charlene P. Muhar, 66 of Center Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 23, 2020 at her residence with her loving family by her side.
Raised in Ambridge, Charlene was one of three daughters and was preceded in death by her parents, John Pastrick and Doris Pastrick Slaugenhaupt. Following graduation from Ambridge High School in 1972, Charlene continued her studies at Duff’s Business Institute. She then gained employment with Duquesne Light Company for eight years prior to raising her family. She continued her education at CCBC where she earned an associates degree in Medical Terminology. She then went to work at UPMC Oncology Center in Moon Township from where she retired.
Charlene loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed travelling and going on cruises. She also was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan, and loved spending time with her many friends who were so special to her.
She will be sadly missed by her husband, Ronald Muhar, two daughters; Megan (Michael) Hogan, and Dana (Tom) Hartley, her grandchildren, Tom Hartley V, and Olivia Hartley, and a sister, Ginny (Donald) Parmele.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death her sister, Sandra (Lou) Idzojtic.
A private viewing will be held at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, Monaca followed by a celebration of life and entombment in Beaver Cemetery.
