CHARLES (Bud) DEWAYNE WHITE On December 30, 2018, Charles was met with open arms in Heaven by all those who loved him following a lengthy, courageous battle with Alzheimer’s. He was born on December 9, 1937 in Washington, PA to Melvin and Leanna (Miller) White.In his younger days he was a professional roller skater specializing in free style and dancing. He was recognized as the United States National Champion Roller Skater. He graduated from high school in Washington, PA in 1954 and attended Washington & Jefferson College for a semester majoring in premed.When his children were young, he coached midget football. He enjoyed playing the organ, the guitar and loved to dance. Bud had a love for horses and at one time he owned several and enjoyed riding when he had the time. However, when he came across a horse named “Thunderbolt”, he got stopped in his tracks when he was thrown off and suffered five broken ribs. He could be found many weekends in the mountains with the boys and he also enjoyed traveling. However, more recently, he enjoyed going to Waterfront Park in Rochester to watch the boats.In 1954-55, he served his country in active duty in the United States Navy and spent a total of eight years both active and reserve duty. He was very proud to be a veteran and had a connection with veterans his entire life.Upon returning from the Navy, Chuck worked for 17 years (1955-1972) at J & L Steel as a metallurgical inspector with main emphasis on quality control.He was  licensed as a real estate professional in 1966 and from 1966-1972 he worked part time  in real estate,  then in 1972, he started his career as a full time realtor.Starting in 1966-1992 he worked as a realtor with E A Martin Realtors and then was associated with Prudential Preferred Real Estate (Garvin Division) until retiring.Chuck was a builder and contractor of new homes. He had an annual $2 million dollar plus production track record for the sale of residential and commercial property for 18 plus years. He had experience in recruiting and training of staff.He was honored as Realtor Associate of the year in 1981 and was named Realtor of the Year in 1996. He served the Beaver County Association of Realtors as president elect in 1993, president in 1994 and past president in 1995.He actively served on all committees of the Association for more than 14 years, namely budget, awards dinner, and was chairman and master of ceremonies of the awards dinner for four years.He was a member of the PA Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors since 1970.In 2005 Chuck had open heart surgery which is believed to have activated progressive aphasia.Bud as family members called him, was a man who enjoyed life and wanted to live his life his way, which he did.Chuck was preceded in death by his father and mother, Melvin and Leanna White and his wife of 52 years, Joanne (Graff) White in 2008. He was also preceded by a brother, Sonny White.Chuck is survived by a son, Charles (Cheryl) White, Jr. of Odessa, FLA. and their children, DJ White, Taylor Turuc, and Nolan White. Two daughters: Kimberly (Charles) Michael of Center Twp., and their children, Melanie (James) Seybert, Tiffany (Mike) Gasperine, and Charles (Amanda) Michael, Jr. Chuck’s second daughter, Leanna (John) Barlamas of Conway and their children, Franzee, Costa, Joanne and Alexsia. Eleven great grandchildren. A sister, Norma Jean Krugle of Monaca and Chuck’s loving companion, June Vogel of Center Township. Several nieces and nephews.Friends will be received on Thursday, January 3^rd from 2-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 AM. Interment will follow in St John the Baptist Cemetery, Monaca.
