Charles E. ‘Chuck’ Baker, Sr., 79, of Monaca, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday evening, October 11, 2014, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valley Beaver.Charles was born in Monaca on August 16, 1935. He was the son of the late Charles and Louise (Stewart) Baker. Charles served as an elder at the Monaca Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses for many years. He found great joy in the study of the Bible and telling others about God’s kingdom and the blessings it will have on mankind. He had worked at the former Colonial Steel and A&S Railroad.Charles is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dolores Baker; a son, Charles Jr. and his wife, Dawn, of Beaver; a daughter, Renee Baker Summerville and her husband, Denny, of Monaca; five grandchildren, Danny Hall, Amanda DeDominicis, Charles Derek Baker and his fiancée, Nicole Handel, Devin E. Baker and Chloe C. Baker, and a great-granddaughter, Corinne Hall. He also leaves three sisters, Mary Lou Reynolds, Helen Domitrovich and Anna Knox; a cousin, Robert Baker; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, as well as nieces and nephews, whom he loved dearly.Friends will be received Friday, October 17th, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca, followed by a brief service with Benjamin Lang speaking.A memorial service will be held Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Monaca Kingdom Hall, 108 Spruce Street, Monaca.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
