Charles Lewis Herman, 86 of Monaca entered his Heavenly Home on Thursday, May 19, 2022.
A lifelong resident of Monaca, Charles was a son of the late Charles L. and Anna Baycura Herman.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cherie (Potter) Herman, a daughter Debbie (Donald) Goedeker of Beaver, two grandchildren: Adam (Kariann) Cinderich of Kent, Ohio and Nikki (Alan) Trimble of Beaver Falls. Great grandchildren: Brayden Trimble, Evan Trimble, Emerson Cinderich and Jade Cinderich. A sister, Karen (late Garry) Rambo of Monaca. He also leaves a brother- in- law, Joey Granito. And many beloveed nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Charles was preceded in death by two brothers, Edwin (late Florence) and Thomas (late Peggy) Herman and two sisters, Alice (late Harry) Eder and Joann Granito.
Charles entered the U S Marines Corp in 1956 and served three years stationed at Camp Lejeune, N.C. It was in North Carolina while serving in the Marines Corp where he met Cherie. After returning home, he gained employment with J & L Steel Corp (LTV Steel) in Aliquippa from where he later retired. An excellent golfer, Charles later worked at Rolling Acres Golf Course and was proud of his five hole-in-ones. He also enjoyed spending time and working in the outdoors.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 24th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where services will be held on Wednesday at 10 am. The Reverend Collene Carney will officiate. Entombment will follow with military honors at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park Mausoleum.
