Charles Wolfe, Jr.

Charles K. Wolfe, Jr., 74, of Raccoon Township, passed away Tuesday morning, December 13, 2016, at his home with his loving wife, Katherine, Harley, and his hospice nurse at his bedside.Chuck was born January 1, 1942, in Sewickley and shared the past 43 years with his wife, Katherine I. (Wilson) Wolfe.A veteran who proudly served in the US Navy as a chief petty officer, Chuck was employed as a crane operator in the tin mill at LTV Steel, where he retired after 40 years of service. An avid fisherman, Chuck particularly enjoyed fishing on the Great Lakes. His favorite pastime was caring for his parrot ‘son’, Harley. He was also a member of Aliquippa Baptist Temple.Chuck was preceded in death by his father, Charles K. Wolfe, Sr., his mother, Wilma Dulaney Friedl and his step father, Harry ‘Ham’ Friedl.He will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Katherine, ‘son’ Harley; a brother, Ronald Friedl and his wife, Sharon ‘Tege’, of Ottawa, IL; a sister, Bonnie Friel and her husband, Robert, of Harrisburg, NC and several nieces and nephews, along with a good friend, John ‘Danny’ Fike.Private family visitation and funeral services were held Monday at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, with his pastor, Rev.
