Christel A. Eder Anderson, 68 of Georgetown (Hanover Township) went Home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 3, 2022. Her passing occurred at home surrounded by her loving family.
A daughter of the late Robert J. Sr. and Christel Eileen Eder, Christel was a 1971 graduate of Center High School and a 1974 graduate of Allegheny Valley School of Nursing, New Kensington. She used her love of nursing to serve as a staff registered nurse at various Christian camps, Bethel Christian School which is an extension of Community Bible Church and various nursing homes in the valley. While growing up in Center Township, she was a member of the local Girl Scout troop and as an adult served as a Girl Scout leader.
Christel was united in marriage to Edward J Anderson on March 16, 1974 and from this union was blessed with six children: Becky Jo (Carl) Fowler, Jason (Jaime) Anderson, Christel (Darryl) Mabry, Rachel (Joshua) Davis, Joshua (Natalie) Anderson and Katie Beth (Jose) Colon. She also leaves Bill Halladay, whom she considered as a son and two brothers: Robert (Barbara) Eder, Jr. and Ronald (Mary Ann) Eder. Her leaves a legacy of 24 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Christel was preceded in death by an infant brother, Richard Eder.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, February 8th from 1pm until the time of service at 4 pm at the Community Bible Church, 4549 State Rt #151, Aliquippa where she was a devout member. Her pastor, Robert R. Kern will officiate with a time of fellowship after the service. Private interment will take place at Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, to either Bethel Christian School or Peniel Bible Camp, Fredericktown, OH

I am sorry to hear of Mrs.Anderson ...my condolences and prayers go out to you and your family....Mrs. Anderson was a wonderful lady she will be missed.

Thank you so much for the Video it brought back so many good memories. Christel is home with Jesus as the Bible relates in 2 Corinthians 5: 8. Her life of service as a mother, nurse, and activities at Community Bible Church and Camp Peniel or somethings that comes to mind. Faith put into action ,1 Thessalonians 1-3 " We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, your labor prompted by love, and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lour Jesus Christ."

When I think of your mom,my mind has a picture from many years ago. I remember the Bronco (I think that was what it was😊) that your family would all pile into with all 6 rambunctious kiddos! I remember all of you staying to clean the Bethel building in the evening. I remember her voice and her laughter and though small in stature,she had a big personality...I rejoice in her being at peace and perfect in body and finally at home. I pray for all of you and your grief as the separation is difficult but what a reunion you will have one day...our hope is in the Lord!

I have great memories of Mrs. Anderson growing up. She came to school games and cheered us along with my parents. Praying for you and your family.

Ed and family please except my sincere condolences. Believe me I know what your going through. Time may aid the healing, but doesn't completely seal the loss. It will always be there. Memories are all we have to hold onto till we meet up with them again. R.I.P. Chris

My personal condolences to Eddie and the family. Chris is now at peace after so many years of suffering and declining health. The photo you've chosen for this memorial is especially lovely and the Chris we all remember. A lovely smile on the face of a lovely personality. She was always ready to laugh and offer a hug of greeting. She will be missed but waiting for you all on that special day... God Bless you all as you navigate the ups and downs of your future.
