Chris is, I cannot say "was" because even though she has departed, she will always be my cousin, my far away, long ago cousin. Even though she was 13 years older than me, she spent time playing with me when I was little and I got to spend an entire summer with her and Sonny and the boys up on the hill in Monaca. I was 13 at the time, but remember every day as if happened yesterday, it was the best summer of my life as a child because of Christine. We went to the softball games at the park, corn picking at local farms, went across the river to her best friend Toni's house all the time, one time coming home Paul Paul decided to yell out the window "hey, F you!" (nice language for a little boy, guess where he learned THAT from!!) to guy walking by the bridge, thankfully Chris knew the guy!, she introduced me to a boy with special needs who though I was his girlfriend for life just because I said "high", we went to the underground speakeasy (I think that is what it was called), and I gave Christine so many grey hairs because I kept running off with my Monaca summer friends playng in the woods where we weren't supposed to...oh, and the sno-cones and hot dogs! Like I said, best summer ever...all with my beautiful cousin, and I wanted to stay forever. And then there was the summer she came to visit us in FL, when I was 18. Christine and our Aunt Stella came for a week and one day my dad and I took them to Clearwater Beach for the sun and sand and fun stuff, that's when I discovered her fear of birds! My dad and I teased her relentlessly about it, then when I was feeding the pigeons french fries, they become obsessive and dive-bomb at you for any food you hold out, she was so terrified and then she got peeved because we wouldn't stop, so she stormed off to go sit in the car! Well, 99 in the humidity and she came back like 5 minutes later and chewed us out a good one, yep, the F bomb flew! We drifted as we got older, but I will never forget the times I had with my cousin growing up as a little kid, she was so sweet to me. My family and I are just sad and heartbroken to hear of her passing, we haven't lived in PA for long long time, and just found out about her leaving us, from an old family friend from Monaca. We all send our love and prayers to Freddy and Paul Paul (my little cousins/her boys), and the rest of her family...we love you guys and are so so sorry for your lost. Cathy, Aunt Sunny, Lizzie, Mike, and Uncle Ben (in heaven...I hope they found one another!)

Chris was my uncle’s partner – to me she was like an aunt. I will forever cherish the fond memories of her from my childhood. Though I am older now I keep those memories with me. I will think of her when I wrap myself up in the warmth of the large, fleece Steelers blanket she gave me years ago that I still keep draped over the back of my couch. And at Christmas when I am picking out my holiday pajamas – I know I can find at least one pair of the Christmas pajamas that became a welcomed tradition for her to gift me and my siblings each year. But those are the physical reminders of her generosity and care. What will linger on longer are the memories of the time spent together at holidays, her joyous laugh and kind spirit. Chris will be deeply missed by many.

I will always remember Chris for her loving, accepting, and gentle spirit. She was a great help and support to me and a friend. I will miss our many late night phone calls. Chris was also a fun aunt to my four kids as they grew up. Once Dan and Chris moved into our house for a week to take care of the four kids while my husband John and I went on a vacation trip John had won. This is something we would not have been able to do without her help. We also celebrated many holidays and kids birthdays together. My Susan, Sarah, Sharon, and JD always looked forward to seeing Uncle Dan and Chris. In recent years Chris was always asking about my grandkids and then proudly telling about hers. Her grandkids were the light of her life! Please hold on tightly to all the wonderful memories and also know that Christine is being held in Gods loving care.
