Clara DePaolis, 90, of Monaca, went to be with her parents in Heaven on Sunday, March 19, 2017.  Her passing occurred at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center in Moon Township.Born January 10, 1927, in Pacentro, Italy, she was the only child of the late Guy and Silvia (Tollis) Battalene.  Clara was united in marriage to Gino DePaolis, and together they would have celebrated their 64^th wedding anniversary on July 25^th.  Clara was a kind and compassionate, loving mother, grandmother and wife. She always loved to cook and bake for others, and she faithfully attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Monaca.  Clara always put her family’s needs before her own and her children and grandchildren meant the world to her.She leaves to mourn her loss three children, Marisa DePaolis and Johnny DePaolis and his wife, Robyn, all of Monaca, and Guy ‘Nino’ DePaolis of Houston, TX; two grandchildren, Isabella DePaolis of Houston and Danielle (Good) Kramer and her husband, Dave, of Monaca, and three great-grandchildren, Cassie, Cayden and Cambrie Kramer, all of Monaca, along with her good friends, Mary and Tony Pelino of Monaca.Friends will be received Thursday from 3 to 8 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where funeral services will be held on Friday at 10 a.m.Entombment will follow in Sylvania Hills Mausoleum.Contributions in Clara’s name may be made, if desired, to the Alzheimer’s Association, Pittsburgh Office, 1100 Liberty Ave, Ste E-201, Pittsburgh, PA 15222, or www.alz.org.We would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at West Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center for their wonderful care that they provided our mother and grandmother while she was there.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
