Claudetta A. ?Skip? Lambert, 77, of Vanport, passed away Thursday, December 22, 2011, in Heritage Valley Beaver, after a courageous battle of a lengthy illness.
Born February 2, 1934, she was a daughter of the late Claude and Elizabeth (Zilk) Davidson. She was united in marriage on August 5, 1950, to Robert L. Lambert, who preceded her in death on March 23, 2003. Skip was devoted to reading her Bible daily, and she attended Church of the Living Christ in Bridgewater.
She will be sadly missed by her four sons, Robert (Kathleen) Lambert, Jeffrey (Angela) Lambert, Richard (Kathleen) Lambert and Steven (Roxanne) Lambert; a daughter-in-law, Pauline Hyde; eight grandchildren, Dawn (Erik) Watts, Adam (Cristy) Lambert, Steven Lambert, Jonathan (Samantha) Lambert, Elizabeth Lambert, Brandi Hoffman, Donald Whelan and Derek Whelan; two great-grandchildren, Erika Watts and Brett Lambert and two sisters, Roberta Lowe and Dorothy (George) Phillis.
Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until the time of service at 7:30 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Ave., Monaca. Her minister, Pastor David Howells, will officiate.
Committal services will take place Saturday in The Beaver Cemetery Chapel.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to Disabled American Veterans, 1000 Liberty Ave # 1606, Pittsburgh, PA 15222-4016.
