Connie C. (Olshanski) “Gummy” Borkovic, 88 of East Rochester, passed away on Saturday, April 17, 2021 peacefully at home.
Born and raised in Monaca, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Agnes Olshanski. A graduate of Monaca High School Class of 1950, Connie was proud of her Polish heritage and enjoyed listening to polkas. She loved spending time with family and grand pets, Bubba and Crosby. Connie was a member of Our Lady of the Valley Parish (formerly St. Cecelia Church) and the Polish National Alliance.
Connie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John H. Borkovic in 1994, and her brother, Bernie Olshanski.
She will be sadly missed by her children, Cindy (Bob) Mason, Cathy Borkovic, and Chris (Todd) Majors, five grandchildren, Lisa (Jon) Reed, Bob Mason, Mike (Chelsea) Mason, Sara Majors, and Noah Majors, eight great grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Jonathan, Dylan, Cameron Reed, Mackenzie, Cara and Colin Mason.
Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where prayers will be offered on Wednesday at 9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca. A prayer service will be held on Tuesday at 3:30 pm in the funeral home.
The family would like to thank her caregiver Helen for her care and devotion for the past three years and more recently, Leslie and Yola and the staff at Good Samaritan Hospice.
