Cynthia Lee “Cindy” Johnston, 67, a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2023, at Good Samaritan Hospice at Heritage Valle, Beaver. Born in Montgomery, Alabama, Cindy was the beloved daughter of Donald Johnston, who preceded her in death, and Thelma Henry Mamula, (of Butler) who survives her. She was the loving mother to Brandon (Kara) Michele, Angela (Greg) Peluso, and Robert (Savannah) Michele, all of Beaver, and a doting grandmother to Victoria Schinke, Trip Michele, Ella Peluso, and Jake Peluso. Cindy is also survived by her siblings Kelli Mason, Mike Baker, Robert Baker, and David Johnston. She was preceded in death by her brother, Scott Baker.
Raised in the South, Cindy’s family moved to Monaca, where they planted roots. She later moved to Beaver, where she raised her family as a single mother. Cindy found joy in the simple things and spending time with her family was her greatest happiness.
Cindy was a dedicated employee at Comcast, where she worked in accounts receivable.
In her passing, we not only mourn her loss but also celebrate the life she led. She was a beloved mother, a cherished grandmother, a caring sister, and a dear friend who made a lasting impact on the lives of those around her.
Friends wlll be received on Monday, July 31st from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington, Monaca 724 728 4000 where services will be held on Tuesday at 10 am.
