Daniel A. Albert, 68 of Monaca passed away Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Heritage Valley, Beaver.Born July 24, 1949, he was a son of the late Daniel and Victoria (Farris) Albert of Aliquippa. A graduate of Aliquippa High School, Dan remained a loyal Quip’s High School football fan. Dan had a passion for cooking and studied at the Pittsburgh Culinary Institute. He also loved to grocery shop for the ‘precise’ ingredients needed for the meals he was about to prepare. Playing poker was also a passion of Dan’s who was a member of a Monday and Friday evening poker club. He was a retiree of LTV Steel’s Aliquippa works and Republic Steel in Beaver Falls and was a member of the Celtic Reds Club and the Lebanese Club, both of Aliquippa.He leaves his wife of 41 years, Kathy A. Albert. He also leaves a son, Chad; a brother, Joseph Albert and his wife, Susan of Aliquippa; two sisters: Toni Felouzis and her husband, James of Baden and Debra Peck and her husband, John of Aliquippa. A brother in law, Larry Crudden and his wife, Carol of Monaca, two sisters in law, Patricia Connor and her husband, Alan in Texas and Marian Nelson of Monaca. An Aunt, Adele Farris of Aliquippa. Several close nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and his wife, William and Maria Albert, a brother in law, Marty Nelson and recently by his West Highland Terrier, Petey.Friends will be received on Monday, November 6, 2017 from 2-8 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, where services will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Reverend Collene Carney, officiating.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
