When I heard of Dan's passing my first thought was of an innocent time. When we'd leave Fort Mac at the end of the day, we'd cross 2nd St and race to the corner near the jail. He won most of the time but on the rare occasions I did it felt like an accomplishment. He also held bike races where ribbons were given out. He won a lot of them too. Rest in Peace Dan and thanks for the memories.
