Daniel Sciarro, 96, of Beaver Falls passed away peacefully Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Rochester Manor. He was born on November 18, 1925 in Beaver Falls to the late Panfilo and Michalena (Agostinone) Sciarro.
Daniel was an employee of the steel industry for over 40 years, he served as union president for Moltrup Steel and a staff representative for United Steelworkers. He was a member of the Beaver Falls Owls club and the Sons of Italy club. When he wasn’t working, he was a PIAA basketball official and baseball umpire. An all around sports fan, he enjoyed watching his sons, grandsons, and great grandson play sports and always could be seen on the sideline supporting his son Ron’s coaching career. In addition to sports, he also enjoyed gardening and making homemade wine.
He is preceded in death by his siblings and son Robert. He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Margaret (Petry) Sciarro, son Ronald (Barb) Sciarro of Beaver Falls, granddaughter Jenelle (Brian) Carter of North Sewickley, grandsons, Jason (Amy) Sciarro of Beaver Falls, Nick (Danielle) Sciarro of New Castle and Justin Sciarro of Cleveland, OH, great-grandchildren Courtney and Nathan Sciarro, Santino and Nico Sciarro, Chase Carter and daughter-in-law Cheri Sciarro.

Friends will be received on Wednesday from 11:00 am to time of blessing service at 1:30 pm in the Simpson Funeral Home, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Private Internment will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Beaver Falls.
