Darrell Kenneth Speirs, Sr.

Darrell K. Speirs, Sr., 79, of Hopewell Township went Home to be with the Lord on Friday, April 20, 2018.   His unexpected passing occurred at Heritage Valley, Beaver.Born and raised in Aliquippa, he was the son of the late Alma Jane (Robeson) Speirs and was a 1956 graduate of Aliquippa High School. A Vietnam War veteran, Darrell enlisted in the U S Air Force and served his country from 1961 to 1965. He spent his working career at the Aliquippa Works of LTV Steel Corporation in the rod and wire department, retiring with 48 years of service.  Darrell was an automotive buff who adored his 1956 Chevy. His adoration for his car was second to the love and devotion he had for his family..He leaves his wife of 51 years, Victoria (Mileca) Speirs, two sons; Darrell K Speirs, Jr. and Mark (Tracey) Speirs. Two grandchildren; Andrew and Ryan Speirs and a brother, Charles (Barbara) Hilt. Numerous nieces and nephews..Friends will be received on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 pm in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where a service will be held on Wednesday at 8:30 am with his cousin and brother in law, Pastor Jack Robison officiating.  Interment with full military honors by the US Air Force and the South Hills Honor Guard in the National Cemeteries of the Alleghenies will follow at 10:30 am.To share online condolences, get directions and other information, please visit simpsonfuneralhome.com.
