David C. Stiteler, 80, of Hanover Township, passed away early Wednesday morning, December 31, 2014.Born May 16, 1934, in Smicksburg (Indiana Co.), he was a son of the late Laurie and Kathryn (Swarts) Stiteler. David grew up in Aliquippa and proudly served in the US Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was employed at LTV Steel as a foreman in the welded tube department. A member of the VFW, David also bowled with the Bricker’s Bowling Team on Fridays at Sheffield Lanes in Aliquippa. He enjoyed deer hunting and fishing locally and at Pymatuning. He had a passion for golf and played at Seven Oaks and various courses. He was member of First United Methodist Church in Aliquippa.He is survived by his loving wife Paulette (Prigorac) with whom he was united in marriage at Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church in Sheffield (Aliquippa); five children, Debra Baron (Ron Gnan) of Aliquippa, David W. Stiteler of Aliquippa, Daniel (Jennifer) Stiteler of Monaca, Diana (Darrin) Jones of Rochester, N.Y. and Jennifer (Chris) Matejka of Aliquippa;11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and two brothers, Gene (Patti) Stiteler of Frankfort Springs and Gary (Dolly) Stiteler of Aliquippa.In addition to his parents David was preceded in death by a brother, Leo Stiteler.Friends will be received Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. A Service of Remembrance will follow at 4 p.m. with Pastor Thomas P.
