David E. “Puff” McLaughlin 73, a lifelong resident of Monaca was reunited with his parents on Monday, May 10, 2021.
Dave was one of four children born to the late Frank and Sadie McLaughlin. Dave was a loving husband, a great father, and a good friend to many around him. Puff was a kind soul that said so much with so little words. A retired truck driver, Puff had a passion for cars and loved to attend the numerous area car cruises. Over the years, he displayed and told many stories about his 1968 Dodge Charger that he was known for. During the 1970’s, he was one of the founders of the Beaver County Four Wheel Drive Club. He always looked forward to meeting with his longtime friends for breakfast.
Dave leaves his wife, Charlotte M. Stevens McLaughlin, his three sons and their wives: David E. (Katie Peterson) McLaughlin, Kenneth J (Ashley Lansberry) McLaughlin and Brian M. (Ashley Hoffman) McLaughlin. His four grandchildren whom he deeply cherished: Mason, Jack, Blake and Grayson McLaughlin. His only surviving brother, Frank (Martha) McLaughlin and several nieces and nephews.
Dave was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Thelma (Dominic) Matteo and Theresa Deem.
As per Puff’s wishes, services are to be omitted.
The family would like to extend a note of thanks to the critical care unit of Heritage Valley, Beaver for the incredible care Dave received.
