David F. Renzo, a devoted family man, veteran, and lifelong member of the Monaca community, passed away on August 18, 2023 at the age of 80. He is survived by his wife Carole Renzo; three daughters Joelene (William) Camp, Davala (Robert III) Crofford, and Hanna Ours; his sibling Linda Renzo Sant’Eufemia, as well as four grandchildren Katherine, Robert IV, and Sarah Crofford and Mia Camp. He is predeceased by his parents, Francis (Frank) and Mildred Renzo.David was a 1960 graduate of Monaca High School, where his fondest memories were his time on the football team. After completing his education, he answered the call to serve his country, spending his time in service as a mechanic in the Army. Upon returning to civilian life, David embarked on a fulfilling career as a tractor trailer driver. As an active member of the Teamsters Labor Union, he served as union steward, dedicated to leading and unifying his fellow coworkers.
David’s community involvement included membership in the Sons of Italy Club in Monaca, PA Lodge #1348, where he was an officer. He felt a deep connection to his Italian heritage and was committed to fostering camaraderie among friends and neighbors. Above all, David cherished his role as a father to his three loving daughters. His guidance, support, joy and unconditional love will be forever missed by all generations of his loving family. Rest in peace Papa. Friends and family are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial, held at St. John the Baptist Church in Monaca at 10:00am on Friday, September 1, 2023. Interment will follow with military honors at Beaver Cemetery. Services were arranged by Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services of Monaca.
