Debra Lynn Wasko, 64 of Baden passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 after a brief illness.
She was born in Sewickley on June 3, 1957 to Joseph and Violet Wasko.
Debi was a graduate of Ambridge High School, class of 1975 and worked for the Government for 40 years, a number of those years as a human resources specialist at the 911 Airlift Wing, Moon Township. She was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins fan, loved Stephen King novels and annual trips to Deep Creek, Maryland.
She leaves behind her sister, best friend and travel buddy, Cindy Wasko. Three nephews and a niece, Brian Stead, Amy (Bryan) Madden, Mark Baumbach and James Baumbach. A great niece Alyssa Baumbach (Montell) and great nephews, Logan, Baumbach, Caleb Thomas and Dylan Stead. Her honorary sister, Karen Uhernik and honorary nieces and nephew, Krista, Kara and Luke Uhernik. She will also be sadly missed by the ‘Deep Creek Gang.”
Debi was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Violet, a sister, Regina ‘Jeannie’ Baumbach, and a nephew, David Baumbach, Jr.
Friends will be received on Friday, February 11th from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at the SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, PA (724 728 4000) where a memorial service will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m.
‘I’ve gone home to see my Father; I’ve gone home so don’t you cry. I’ll be waiting for you in Heaven, in my mansion prepared on high. No more sorrow, no more pain, and no more grief. I’ve gone home to be with my Father though my time on earth was brief.’
