Diane E. McCracken, 72 of E. Palestine, Ohio a beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother and grandmother was reunited with loved ones on Sunday, July 23, 2023. Diane was born and raised in New Jersey by her mother, Eleanor, alongside her siblings, Kevin and Leane. After completing high school,, Diane pursued a career in nursing, It was during this time that she met her first husband, Frank Suter. Together, they had two sons, Scott and Kurt. Through work and family, they traveled the world and lived in numerous cities. Not only did they enjoy seeing the country and world, they met and maintained and lasting friendships. After this chapter in Diane’s life ended, Diane found love again with Frank McCracken. Together, they began their life together in Monaca for a while. They decided to expand their endeavors and relocate to what became their favorite place to live. Bastrop, Texas. They thrived in this vibrant town, calling it home for over 20 years. Eventually, the importance of family drew them closer to their grandchildren, Maxwell and Valerie, and Frank’s parents. Diane’s later years were filled with pride for her family’s accomplishments, particularly those of her grandchildren, Max and Val. A voracious reader, she couldn’t resist a good book from the local library. She had a soft spot for Reese’s Chocolates and a nice ice-cold Diet Coke. Loving, caring and selfless, she was known for her adventurous and spirited personality. While living on Texas, she appeared in two movies, ‘Where the Heart Is’ and ‘Soul Collector’. Her outgoing personality and zest for life shone through in these roles. A woman of many talents and interests, Diane lived a full and rich life. Friends will be received on Friday, July 28 from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm at SIMPSON FUNERAL & CREMATION SERVICES, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
