Dolores J. (Crapis) LyonsMonaca, PADolores J. “MeMe” Lyons, 82, of Monaca, died peacefully Thursday November 30, 2107 at Providence Care Center, Beaver Falls, PA.Born October 17, 1935, in Conway, PA, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Theresa Crapis.Dolores was a devoted wife and mother who faithfully attended Saturday evening mass at St. John’s Baptist church in Monaca. She was an avid bingo player, a fraternal member of the PNA club where she volunteered countless hours cooking and serving dinners, a member of the ladies auxiliary of the Monaca American Legion, and past president of the Monaca High School Football Mothers Organization. Dolores would enjoy playing cards with her loving sisters and brothers.Dolores is survived by her husband of 61 years, Edward who she married August 4,1956; a daughter Terri and (Tom) Dishler; four sons Mike and (Karen), Mark and (Diane), Gary and (Leslie), and Eddie and (Laynie); A sister Carmella Matsook and brother Lenny (Sandy) Crapis.“MeMe” will shine her light down upon her 10 grandchildren; Krystal, Eli, Matthew, Marcus, Carter, Sarah, Kaitlyn, Parker, Logan, and Max; and one great-grandchild Jayona.She was preceded in death by sisters; Josephine Ecimovic, Dorothy Zito, Rosemarie Johns and brothers; Louis Crapis and Richard Crapis.Friends will be received on Sunday, December 3, 2017 from 1:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 pm and Monday from 11:00 am until 12:30 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca where prayers will be offered on Monday at 12:30 pm followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 pm in St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Monaca.  Interment will follow in the parish cemetery.The family would like to thank the 3rd floor staff at Providence Care Center in Beaver Falls.
