Doris M.(John) Dawson, 85 of Vanport was called Home on Saturday, July 2, 2016.Born August 21, 1930 in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late William C. and Hazel (Vogt) John.  Doris was a Monaca High School graduate.She leaves two sons: Tom (Betty) Sherbine of Aliquippa and Jim Sherbine of Beaver. Two grandsons: Brett and Kyle Sherbine. A brother, Dan John in Florida.She was preceded in death by her parents , husband, three sisters and a brother.A special thanks is extended to the staff on Grove #1 and the therapy department of Friendship Ridge for the attentive care given to Doris during her brief stay.As per Doris’ request, all services will be strictly private..

I always remember growing up as a kid your mother treated me like I was one of her sons supper times at the house and going with you guys to your grandmothers house and numerous other events it was one of my best childhood memories as we grew up and went are separate ways,those times are still close to my heart.
