Dorothy ‘Dot’ M. Adams, 83 , of Center Twp., a devoted wife, mother and grandmother passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at Heritage Valley of Beaver.Born Oct 15, 1930 in Monaca, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Rose Zindren. Dot was united in marriage to Gene ‘Tunney’ Adams, who survives.She was a faithful member of the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa where she was very active in all church functions. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Woodlawn Chapter #164 and was an avid Steelers and Penguins fan. Dot, who had been employed in numerous capacities throughout Beaver County was a retiree of the Beaver Valley Intermediate Unit.She leaves in addition to her beloved husband, Gene, two sons: Ted Adams and his wife, Debby and Bruce Adams and his wife, Karen. Six grandchildren: Valerie (Chris) Brown, Amy (Andy) Adams-Bobseine, Melissa Adams, Laura (Rich) Jacobs, Ashley and Alexa Adams.Five great grandchildren: Aiden, Alex, Max, Keira and Kyle.Dot was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers: Theodore and Bryan Zindren and an adopted brother, Joseph Laubscher.Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 8th at 11 am at the First United Methodist Church of Aliquippa, 2816 Brodhead Rd., Aliquippa with her pastor, the Reverend David D. Wilson, officiating.
