The first time I met Mrs. Pierce, we hit it off. I learned later that it may have not been that way for her. She told me that Glenn had called and asked how she liked her new caregiver. Mrs. Pierce told him that I was loud...but that I made her laugh. I don't think the loudness ever went away (I told her I come by it naturally.) I enjoyed making her laugh though, especially when I knew she wasn't feeling well. I wish I could have made it better for her but I'm sure that she's in a much better place and she's once again with her dear husband, the love of her life!! I'm going to miss you and your sweet smile. And for the last time, I love you, Mrs. Pierce.

Glenn, sorry we will not be there tomorrow for the service. Uncle Ron is not up for the long drive to Pa. You will be in our thoughts. Your mom was like a second mother to Uncle Ron. We loved her and will miss her dearly. Love, Uncle Ron, Aunt Margaret and family.

Glenn & Sarah - How saddened we are to hear of Dorothy's passing. She brought so much love and joy to our family for over twenty years. She had such great stories to tell and could always make us laugh. No one will be able to replace her special niche in our hearts. She also had a special maternal relationship to the staff at Campbells. She leaves us with many, many happy memories and we're so thankful she was a part of our lives. We will miss her deeply.

Glenn and I met in 2nd grade at Koppel school and have been friends ever since. Becoming a friend of Glenn, you also became a friend of Dorothy. She was that kind of mom that was involved with what her child was doing. Its one thing to raise a child and another to be your friend also. Dorothy was able to find a way to do both. Thru all the hard times and difficulties in her life, she maintained that smile and chuckle that made her what she was. She was quick to invite you into her life. When Jennifer got married in AZ. Dorothy invited me to tag along. Sure it was a family celebration but she concidered you family for just being a friend. I was always glad for going. I had such a good time that I was always looking for a way to move there. If it werent for dorothy I wouldnt have experianced that contrast between PA and AZ. As Glenn and I became old enough to drink in bars. Dorothy would invite us to share a drink or two with her at the local pubs. We sure had alot of laughs. Even though Dorothy and her friends were alot older than we were, we never felt like an outcast or a 5th wheel. She made sure you were part of the circle. So Dorothy or Dot as we sometimes nick named her, Thanks for your friendship and the good times. You may be gone from sight but not from our memories. Mike
