Dwight D. “Dikie” Farrow, age 85 of Freedom, formerly of Darlington was surrounded by his loving family as he went to be with Jesus on October 4, 2021.
Dikie faithfully lived his life as a witness to Jesus Christ. His example pointed people to Jesus, leading them to the Lord.
Dwight began his earthly existence in New Martinsville, W. V., as a son of the late Glenn L. and Grace M. (Jennings) Farrow. Dwight was the husband of the love of his life, Shirley with whom he shared 62 years of marriage. He was a loving father of his three children, Tammy (Greg) Kotyk of Washington, PA., Kim (Ted) Reddinger of New Sewickley Twp, and Joe (Melissa) Farrow of College Station, Tx. A grandfather of Theo (Alyssa) Reddinger, Tyler (Shaneese) Reddinger, Allen Kotyk and Nya Farrow, Great grandfather of Anilah. He was a devoted brother of Jackie (Nick) Toth, uncle of Stacey (Michael), great uncle of Grace and Bella and a mentor to anyone who would give him an opportunity to witness to them.
He was a devout member of the Church of the Living Christ, Bridgewater for the past 46 years. He was a deacon emeritus of the church, having served the church in numerous capacities.
Dwight was a retiree of the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local #66. He found great joy traveling on mission trips and also enjoyed spending time at the ocean.
A private visitation and funeral service was held on Saturday with Pastor David Howells, officiating at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca.
