Earl Jackson Grim, born July 21, 1934 walked into the arms of Jesus and to meet his wife Geraldine, daughter Karen Baker and his granddaughter Kayla Smith on 5/31/2023. He was reunited with all of his siblings. He was the final of 8 – 6 sisters and one brother.
He was the son of Mearle and Leona Grim. He was a professional welder at J&L Steel and LTV Incorporated. After he retired as a welder he worked at Walmart in Center Township assembling bikes. He did do two years in the Army with time spent in Germany. He was a long standing member of Bunker Hill Community Church. He served in many roles at the church.
He has 4 children, Deborah Malick (Gary), Susan Woodard (Mark Walbaum), Karen Baker, (Michael Baker), Earleen Smith. He has 3 stepchildren: Denise Beatty, David McCrory (Connie), Daniel McCrory (Lisa). He was greatly loved by 18 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. His favorite Tshirt reads “I’m not retired. I’m a professional Grandpa”. He went by granddad, grandpa and pappy. Without a doubt Jesus welcomed him with open arms saying “Good and faithful servant”.
Friends will be received on Monday, June 5th from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca. Additional visitation will be held on Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service at noon at Bunker Hill Community Church, 170 Pleasant Drive, Center Township. Pastor Ross Fichter and Pastor Brandon Pagnett will officiate. Interment will follow with military honors at Woodlawn Cemetery, Aliquippa.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, in Earl’s memory to the church.
