Ed Knopp

Ed Knopp, 79 of Center Township passed away Friday evening, January 28, 2022 in Premier Washington Heath Center, Washington, PA.
Ed was born November 6, 1942 in Monaca, PA. to the late Howard and Martha Beal Knopp. He retired from Teledyne Pittsburgh Tool Steel in Monaca and served his country in the U S Army from July 1960 to July 1963.
The youngest and last surviving child of eight, Ed was preceded in death by his parents, sisters: Lois, Alice and Delores and brothers: Gerald LeRoy, Don, Paul and Howard.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Elaine Thayer Knopp, a son, Rob of Beaver, PA. and two daughters, Pam (Doug) Park of East Palestine, OH. and Lorraine Brown of Beaver Falls, PA. Two stepsons, Mark (Kathi) Beaver of Darlington, PA. and Joe (Pam) Beaver of New Symrna Beach, FL. Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. A sister in law, Donna Donnelly and a brother in law, Joe Jones.
He was ‘Uncle Toolbox’ to numerous nieces and nephews. Ed loved to sing Merle Haggard songs at karaoke and enjoyed spending time at his camp.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 2nd from 2-4 p.m. and 6 until the time of service at 7:30 pm at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca, PA.
The family has suggested memorial contributions be made, in Ed’s memory, if desired to the Alzheimer’s Association.
