Ed Zupsic, 68 of Center Township, a husband, father, educator, and athlete has left us too soon. His passing occurred on Sept 1, 2018 at his residence. His influence was felt by many, in the classroom where he was passionate about physical education. On the field he was a fierce competitor both as a player and a coach, an embodiment of the mascots he wore on his helmet. A trojan never surrendering, a warrior always prepared to battle, and an Aggie blue collar grinder willing to work as long as there was breath in his lungs. He was a fierce man no matter what the emotion, there was always a fire within. Sports were his passion, family his obsession. This has never been more apparent than with his grandchildren Jake and Makenzie. His wish was always to see them happy and to know they were loved. He never failed in that regard. His presence will be sorely missed. Ed was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Anna, his in laws George and Helen Neely, his sister and brother-in-law Wally and Anna Mae Lavery, and his brothers, Steven, Ronnie and Tommy and a brother in law, Nick Radosh. He is survived by his devoted wife Ruth, children, Janice and Mike, Steve and Lindsay. Siblings Rose Radosh, Carol, Butch and Patti, Joe and Helen, Linda, Nick and Sally Zupsic, Joanne and Pat Pietrandrea, and brother-in-law Chuck Neely.A gathering for family and close friends will be held at the Simpson Funeral & Cremation Services, 1119 Washington Avenue, Monaca on Wednesday, Sept. 5, from 10 am until noon.
